Bright Lights Performance School presents
its final show for 2007. “Half your Luck” is a fun-filled
musical comedy written and directed by Brian Dale with
choreography by Lee Purdie.
Have you ever considered why some people have
all the luck? Others have good looks, personality or
attitude. Many people, particularly children, put their
faith in wishes and are rewarded, while others are left
disappointed.
This is the story of Cassie and her
brother PJ. Cassie is your average girl. Friendly,
thoughtful, a little shy but with a talent for dancing! Her
brother PJ is not only popular and highly promising but also
incredibly lucky.
Cassie has friends. There are her dancing
partners, Chloe and Courtney. A boy named Harold who is
rather keen on her. Finally there is her best friend,
Zelda. Zelda is different. PJ also has friends. There are
the girls, Casey and Chelsea, the school bullies, Bulldog
and Bluey and just about everyone else in the entire
universe.
In fact, in a parallel universe there exists
various agencies that distribute luck, beauty, personality
and wishes. All of these agencies are concerned about the
health and welfare of their favourite boy, PJ Stahr.
Cassie and her friends set out to solve the
mystery and discover the secret of PJ’s luck and success. Be
prepared for several surprises on their journey of
discovery.
“Half your Luck” stars Isabel Hoy as Cassie,
Clea Pratt as Zelda, James Preston as PJ, Gabe Francis as
Harold, Susie Wolff as Chloe and Meg O’Brien as Courtney.
